BLACK BLAZER AND EMBELLISHED SNEAKERS

Before London was hit by a belated winter storm, there was actually a week of hope. Hope for spring, I mean. Running around in only a blazer, jeans and trainers? Count me in! Actually, that was exactly my look when I met Margaret from Cady Quotidienne a few weeks ago when she visited London once again. We met up for a hot coffee, a little chat and some cute pictures. She has posted about her outfit already here so make sure to check her post out as well.

We actually wanted to do some sort of day-to-night collaboration showing you how to style different pieces for the day as well as for the night. I decided to stick to a classic: the blazer.

I went for a long-lined, black example by Bourdelles des Garรงons that I bought recently and have worn quite a few times since. The blazer has the perfect fit to go either with a pair of jeans (as I did for this look) or a little dress for the evening. I'll do a more styled-up version of the blazer some time, but for now, I decided to show you how to dress this little classic down to make it look day-appropriate, yet stylish.

I paired it with a simple black turtleneck that you've seen way too often by now but I feel like it gives every outfit a special something because of its nice flower cutouts in the decollete area.

You've probably seen the jeans in my Freaky Shoes and Fury Coat outfit post already. Even though I'm usually not a light-washed jeans kinda girl, I have really fallen deep and hard for this pair of skinny jeans by Esprit. In general, I love Esprit's size range in jeans and the choice of styles. They are a bit more high priced than most of my simple jeans, but I feel like they are more than worth it. I've bought quite a few pairs by now and can only underline how nicely they wear in, how easy they are in terms of washing and keep, and how perfectly they sit and emphasise your body.

Enough about the jeans: let's move on to the shoes. I've got those bad boys from Spaziomoda I loved the idea of a simple, white sneaker with a bunch of embellishments on them. I feel like it makes them stand out more without being too overwhelming or over-the-top. To match the sneakers, I decided to go with my crossbody bag by Esprit and a light beige belt by Moschino Jeans
